Apple’s new AI can read your lips—literally

Apple just spent $2 billion on tech that hears you without a sound. Is it for noisy subways, or is Siri just getting too personal? Alex breaks down the silent revolution.

Apple bought a lip-reading AI company

Apple dropped over $2 billion on Q.ai. The tech? You don’t even need to speak out loud. Just move your lips and the AI gets it.

Could be useful in noisy spots or libraries, but it’s a bit odd. An AI reading my thoughts just from lip movement is kind of a lot.

Tech’s advancing, sure, but do we really need to watch our breathing now?

Alex’s Take
Not sure I want to spend another $1,500 on an iPhone for this. Getting more “surveillance” than “convenience” here. Just me?
